Synopsis

Kathryn proves to be an enigma as she rebuffs his advances. He's never had that happen, so he's drawn to her even more. He spends the next day tracking her down as he tries to woo her. Little does he know that Kathryn's keep to his game and his reputation. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this book. There's a shortage of good books that are fully male POV, so it was refreshing to see the whole story from Adam's eyes. The Tantra aspect of Adam's Apple was so unique and I loved learning about it right long with Adam. The descriptions are beautifully written, and you feel as if you're in the Tantra room experiencing it with them. It added such a neat, fun, element to this modern romantic suspenseful novel. It definitely helped bring the two together in the most intimate way.
The connection between Adam and Kathryn is palpable, and their chemistry is one for the ages. Where Adam is sinful and sexy, Kathryn is sensual and sophisticated. Together, they make the most fiery match and I loved every single moment they spent together. The whole book takes places over the span of about 48 hours, so you'd think that it'd be way too soon for them to feel so deeply for each other. I think that due to the suspenseful circumstances, as well as the extremely intimate art of Tantra, it was easy for me to believe that they could truly feel this way. And if you know me, you're probably shocked. I normally need a good build up, and for the most part, that can't happen over night. Somehow, someway, Liz Morris wrote a tale that had me forgetting that they'd only just met. I loved every moment of their relationship and I cannot wait to get my hands on book 2.

He turns to me and smiles. “Thanks, Adam, but I’m not sure that’s a good idea. The last time you took me out for drinks, you ended up abandoning me at the bar. You left with two women, if I’m not mistaken. Rubbed my married ass into the ground with that move. Damn, they were hot as shit, too. Remember?”
“Distantly.” I pause while my mind travels back to that night. The hotel room. The shiny surface of handcuffs. Ties attached to bedposts and long slender legs. “They were recent college graduates. Sorority sisters. Kinky fucking must’ve been their majors. They were practically pros. Who carries bondage shit around in their purse, anyway?”
“Man, the life you lead, Adam. Sometimes I envy you, other times I think you’re a crazy motherfucker. One day, you’ll fall for someone and it will be hard. Who knows, maybe this woman from last night? What was her name again?”
“Kathryn Delcour.” Her name rolls off my tongue. Just the thought of her makes me smile and erases any trace of the kinky night from my mind.
About The Author
Liv Morris resides in Manhattan with her first and hopefully last husband. After relocating eleven times during his corporate career, she qualifies as a professional mover. Learning to bloom where she's planted, Liv brings her moving and life experiences to her writing.
Liv received a degree in communication from the University of Maryland. She has published five short stories in the Love in the City series. Her debut novel, Adam's Apple, is due for release this summer.
