BLOG TOUR & REVIEW: Take by Ella Frank

TAKE -- verb: to reach for and hold in one's hands or get into one's possession, power or control.
Logan Mitchell is a man who's always been more than happy to take what he wants. It's a philosophy that's proven lucrative in both his business and personal life, and never was it more apparent than the night he laid eyes on Tate Morrison. After pulling out all the stops and convincing the sexy bartender to give him a try -- he's hooked.
Now, Logan finds himself in a predicament that demands more from him than a smart-ass answer and his innate ability to walk away when things get too deep.
He has a choice to make, and it'll force him to do something he's never done before -- take a chance.
Tate Morrison knows all about taking a chance. He took the biggest one of his life the night he showed up at Logan's apartment to explore his unexpected reaction to the man. Ever since then, he's thought about little else.
At first he was convinced his attraction was based solely on his body's curiosity. But the more time he spends with the silver-tongued lawyer, the more Tate realizes that their physical chemistry is only the beginning. He's starting to catch a glimpse of what life with Logan would be like, and it's one full of excitement and satisfaction -- a far cry from what he had in the past with his soon to be ex-wife.
Each man will face their fears as they begin to understand the true meaning of give and take. Their feelings for one another will be tested, as will their very beliefs. But now that they've found love where they least expected it, will they be brave enough to reach out and take it?

REVIEW

Oh my lanta.

You know, I’m starting to think Ella Frank is some sort of super cyborg sent here to churn out novels with characters that capture my heart time and time again, and storylines that pull me under so forcefully that I never want to come up for air. Take is no exception, and even though I didn’t think it would be possible, I fell even more in love with Logan and Tate.

Take, the second book in the Temptation series, continues the story of Logan and Tate and this time around, things get…real. After being caught locking lips by his soon-to-be ex-wife and sister, Tate is faced with a life altering task: come out to his very conservative family. But Tate isn’t the only one with obstacles to overcome. After having his heart broken, Logan built up walls to keep people out and as much as he wants to tear them down and fully give his heart to Tate, it’s simply not that easy. As these two struggle to move their relationship forward, they learn that the only thing that really matters is how they feel about each other…and those are feelings that neither of them can deny.

So, it’s no surprise that I loved Try, but somehow I loved Take even more. This story kept the banter and flirtatiousness of Try, and added elements of maturity and love. Logan and Tate are forced to shed their insecurities and doubts, and are left standing in front of each other…vulnerable, open, and honest. Throughout the major struggles that these two are faced with in this novel, there are just as many playful, and delightfully dirty moments to create a perfect balance – Game Night was absolutely perfect :)

Ella’s writing, as always, is top notch. The story flows seamlessly, and while the ending was slightly predictable, it left me incredibly antsy to see what challenges are in store for Logan and Tate in the next installment of their love story. I have fallen head over heels in love with these two men and the beautiful story Ella has woven around them. If this woman ever stops writing, I don’t know what I’ll do. Her stories are brilliant, her characters are lovable and unique, and Take is just the latest work of wonder that Ella Frank has graced us with; if you haven’t met Logan and Tate yet, you are missing out on one of the best book couples I’ve ever met!
